Message from Supreme Knight re Covid-19 crisis

Dear Brother Knights,
Be assured of my continued prayers for you, your family and for all our brother Knights. In this difficult time, I believe God is asking every Knight of Columbus to pray in a special way for one another and for our Order, not just for health or well being, but also that we be faithful to the great calling the Lord has given us as Knights in this challenging time.
To address the particular needs and challenges of these days, the Supreme Council is changing the format and timing of Knightline. During this unprecedented time, it is important that we are in more regular contact with you, and we will work hard to provide resources, both spiritual and practical, for you and your family. We are all facing challenges — I believe as Knights we are all called to be leaders in a special way during this critical time. The question we all must face right now, today, is this: “What does it mean to lead in this time of trial? “
We will now publish Knightline twice a week to help answer this question.
The new Knightline will include reflections and offer resources connected to these themes: love of God, love of neighbor and protecting your family.
This special edition of Knightline includes an article explaining what it means to lead as a Knight in this moment of trial. It is organized around five pillars that, I believe, we are called to live out in a particular way in this difficult time. Please take the time to read it and prayerfully reflect on it. We plan on offering further reflections on these five pillars regularly as part of future issues of Knightline.
My sincere hope is that we will all grow closer to God and to one another during this time so that we can serve as a beacon of light and hope to those around us.
If we are faithful to Christ’s call to us as Knights, he will certainly help us shine the light of his love on those around us. Together, brothers, let us step into the breach and live lives “worthy of the high call that God has given us.” (Eph. 4:1)
The Knights of Columbus was founded for times such as these, and I believe that this crisis will ultimately make us stronger as a force for good. Now is the hour of the Knights of Columbus!
Vivat Jesus!
